Iran Press/ Iran news: Referring to the World Health Organisation's acknowledgment of Iran's success in controlling the spread of the virus, Iran's President said: "The people, authorities and related departments should be careful to save the great success of controlling coronavirus outbreak by using masks and observing health protocols," Iran's president official site reported.
"Saving this condition is more important and difficult than obtaining it,": said Rouhani, adding that "We have now achieved great success in controlling the disease in capitals of provinces with the measures taken and we are getting closer to controlling the virus in other provinces, but what is important is that we may end up in an unpredictable and unpleasant situation due to the unknown behaviors of this virus and non-compliance with the instructions".
Referring to the reports on the red situation in the cities of some provinces, Rouhani stressed the need to provide a definition of indicators in the field of red to consider the safety situation of cities and provinces.
Rouhani went on to say that: "According to this, the restrictions should be implemented in a point-by-point and not integrated manner in the provinces, and at the same time, these restrictions should be implemented only with the coordination and permission of specialized medical, social and security committees".
The President also described the announcement of warnings and the implementation of restrictions and instructions one of the most important and sensitive points and specified: "Controlling coronavirus without resorting to coercive methods is a brilliant achievement".
Rouhani mentioned the method of persuasion and public education of the people through communication and the media as more effective in the field of methods of adaptation to coronavirus and said: "The medical authorities should give the necessary warnings to the people with transparency".
The President described the use of masks and heeding to physical distancing very important in preventing the transmission of COVID-19 disease, adding that "In countries that have used masks in indoor and outdoor gatherings, this has been a significant success in controlling the disease."
According to the spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari 's report on Thursday so far, 197,647 people in the country have definitely been infected with the coronavirus, and 156,991 of total infected people have recovered.
Currently, 1,344,599 COVID 19 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the country.
