Iran Press/ Europe: Speaking to reporters on Friday, Gharibabadi said the report formally deals with the developments between the IAEA and Iran during the last three months, indicating a constructive interaction to reach a common understanding of issues and finding solutions for them.
In terms of content, Gharibadai added, the report paints a clear and positive picture of the current state of cooperation and envisions a constructive outlook of relations between Iran and the IAEA, which is expected to be welcomed by the majority of IAEA member states and the Board of Governors.
He further said the report concerns the trip of the IAEA's chairman to Iran on August 25 and 26 for the affairs related to the safeguard, resulting in a joint statement issued by Iran and the agency to strengthen cooperation and mutual trust.
According to the report, the IAEA gained access to one of the two sites, and the access to the second site was scheduled for this month, the Iranian ambassador explained.
He said the director-general of IAEA also welcomed the recent agreement between Iran and the IAEA and attached the joint statement to the report.
Gharibadadi pointed out that Iran has shown goodwill in its interaction with the IAEA's new director-general, and expected the Board of Governors and other members of IAEA to support the report.
He also expected that the report is considered as a fundamental step towards the normalization of two or three safeguard issues related to Iran in IAEA through the independent, impartial, and professional implementation of agreements and commitments.
