Iran Press/ Europe: Iran's Navy Commander Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi said in a press conference in St. Petersburg, Russia on Saturday: "These ships entered strategic areas in the world on this long journey that has never been seen before."
The Commander of the Navy of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, noting that the great movement of Iranian ships began a few months ago and has now reached the Gulf of Finland and the waters of St. Petersburg, added: "This success means opening the gates of the North Sea and Finland to the army fleet of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Makran ship, in the form of the 75th fleet, has supported and accompanied the Sahand destroyer on this long journey.
The main parade of the Russian Navy will be held in St. Petersburg on Sunday, July 25.
According to Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, 54 warships from various countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, will take part in the parade.
This year's parade, the fifth Russian naval parade in the country's modern history (30 years after the collapse of the Soviet Union), is being held on the 325th anniversary of the founding of the Russian navy.
