Tehran (IP) - Emphasizing the necessity of solving regional issues by the countries of the region, the Iranian President stated: "The intervention of outsiders only complicates the issues, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, by supporting the peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan, hopes that these talks will establish and strengthen peace and security in the region as much as possible."

Iran PressIran news: Speaking in a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, on Monday, Ebrahim Raisi stressed the necessity of solving regional issues by the countries of the region and stated: "Foreign interference only complicates the issues, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, by supporting the peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan, hopes that these talks will establish and strengthen peace and security in the region as much as possible."

The President also stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran does not accept any geopolitical changes and shifting the borders of the countries in the region, adding: "Iran supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all the countries in the region."

Raisi emphasized the importance of improving the level of relations between the two countries as much as possible and added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran does not see any obstacle to the development of relations with Armenia."

In the meeting, Ararat Mirzoyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, while appreciating Iran's positions regarding the developments in the Caucasus region, stated: "Armenia will never become a platform for anti-Iranian actions and always emphasises on the development of regional security and peace."

The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs regards the relationship with the Islamic Republic of Iran as highly significant for Armenia. The minister stressed the need to enhance diplomatic ties between the two countries and strengthen their connections.
