Saying that he and his country have been closely following the developments of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, also known as the Iran nuclear deal, President Museveni added that the unilateral move of the US to quit the deal is unacceptable and urged all, especially powerful countries, to strengthen multilateralism.
In the meeting, President Rouhani's envoy detailed on the US move and its consequences for the international peace and security, and called for harmonized position of independent countries against the policies.
Sarmadi said the US decision to pull out of the JCPOA was contradictory to the international commitments of the country.
He hoped that other signatories of the deal will propose comprehensive package to reassure Iran that it can use all the promised benefits of the deal.
Meanwhile, The head of the Iran-Ukraine parliamentary friendship group, and member of the Iranian parliament , Salman Khodadadi has emphasised that Europe must prove its commitment to the nuclear deal (JCPOA ) by honouring its obligations under the deal.
Also, The former Iranian foreign minister, and head of Iran's Foreign Policy Strategic Council, Kamal Kharrazi has said the political will to safeguard the JCPOA exists in Europe, but what is important is how to translate this political will into practical action to preserve the nuclear deal.
After the US illegally quit the internationally confirmed Iran nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei ordered the three branches of the Islamic establishment in Iran to hold economic coordination sessions in order to take the necessary actions.
The previous three meetings were held on May 26, June 19, and June 30.
US President Donald Trump announced on May 8 that Washington was walking away from the nuclear agreement.
Trump also said he would reinstate US nuclear sanctions on Iran and impose “the highest level” of economic bans on the Islamic Republic.
Under the JCPOA, Iran undertook to put limits on its nuclear program in exchange for the removal of nuclear-related sanctions imposed against Tehran.
