Caracas (IP) - Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro officially welcomed President Raisi at the Presidential Palace in Caracas.

Iran PressAmerica: Ebrahim Raisi has traveled to Venezuela heading a high-ranking political and economic delegation.

A group of people from Caracas were also present at the ceremony and upon the arrival of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, they welcomed Ebrahim Raisi and the accompanying delegation, holding the flags of Iran and Venezuela.

After the national anthems of the two countries were played, the Presidents of Iran and Venezuela held a private meeting. Later, the high-ranking delegations of the two countries started their negotiations.

 

President Raisi also paid tribute to Simón Bolivar, the leader of the Latin American liberation revolutions and the late Venezuelan politician by visiting his tomb in the city of Caracas while presenting a wreath.

The President also signed the memorial book of Simón Bolivar, the leader of the Latin American liberation movements.

In the 19th century, Simón Bolivar, as the leader of the liberating revolutions in South America, was able to save the people of countries such as Venezuela, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Panama from the colonialism of the Spanish Empire.
