Iran Press/ Iran News: Ebrahim Raisi instructed all the authorities in Hormozgan province and the neighboring provinces, as well as the responsible ministries, to follow up on the situation in the region as soon as possible with the priority of relief and rescue operation.
In other developments, First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber arrived at Bandar Abbas to closely examine the situation, and to make sure that relief and rescue operations are done on time and well.
Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi called for a quick damage assessment and help to the quake-hit people in southern Iran.
Several rescue and relief teams have also been reportedly dispatched to the quake-hit area.
