Speaking at a conference held to address the country's Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution on Sunday, Ebrahim Raisi said that the country must not be passive against the cultural attack, but must be active.
Raisi called on the universities, schools, and the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution should adopt endeavor work backed by a plan and goal.
He highlighted the term "Cultural Headquarters" made by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei, and called on all relevant executive agencies to support the people-based cultural movement and the cultural headquarters.
Still, he put an emphasis on the elevation of the humanities as Iran's main point of advantage and said:
"Our contribution to the scientific and cultural treasure of the world, especially in the humanities, should be more than what it is now. Due to the status of our country, and due to the civilization that we enjoy, our share can definitely be improved."
Iran's President stressed the moral aspect of modernity and technology and said: "Our contribution can be in making modern technologies more humane in the world. Giving a role to humanities will make modern technologies more humane in the world."
The conference held on Sunday aimed to address how the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution and its tasks could turn into a nature of headquarters.
The Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution is a body set up at the time of Ayatollah Khomeini, the late Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran to protect and promote the country's Islamic-Iranian culture. 204
