Iran Press/ America: Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, who opposed the deployment of federal forces to crackdown the protests on police violence and racism, while standing in front of federal court guardrails, was attacked by tear gas.
According to the Associated Press, federal security forces have been deployed in Portland despite Wheeler's opposition to Donald Trump's order to quell protests against US police violence.
Wheeler, a Democrat, said that it was the first time he had been attacked with tear gas, and it was unclear whether federal security forces had deliberately done so.
