Iran Press/ Europe: The Polish men’s volleyball team, led by coach Nikola Grbić, achieved a historic victory in the 2023 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League. They triumphed over the United States in the final, winning 3:1 (25:23, 24:26, 25:18, 25:18).
This victory marks Poland’s first-ever title in the prestigious international competition.In the first set, the Polish team started strong, taking an early lead of 6:3. However, the American team quickly caught up, and the score remained close. With the powerful serves of Wilfredo Leon, Poland managed to regain a three-point advantage at 15:12.
Despite a brief timeout called by the US coach, John Speraw, Poland maintained their momentum and secured the first set with a score of 25:23. 219
