Tabriz (IP) – People of Tabriz, the capital city of East Azerbaijan Province, northwestern Iran took to the streets to show their support for Iranian Supreme National Security Councils' (SNSC) decision to quit parts of the 2015 nuclear agreement.

Iran Press/Iran news: People from all walks of life in Iran's Tabriz city marched after the Friday Prayer Ceremony.

Friday's rallies across Iran, came after the Coordination Council for Islamic Propagation invited the Iranian people to march across the country as a sign of opposition to the unreliability of the United States and its Western allies, Iran Press reported .

According to the SNSC decision, Iran will no longer commit to the restrictions put on storage of enriched uranium and heavy water under the agreement.

The remaining parties to the nuclear deal have been given 60 days to implement their commitments under the JCPOA, particularly those relating to banking and the oil sector.

Failure to do so will prompt the Islamic Republic to stop complying with restrictions on the level of uranium enrichment and the modernization of Arak heavy water reactor, the statement added.

The move came exactly a year to the day US President Donald Trump withdrew America from an accord.105/205/213
