Tehran (IP)- Iran's Parliament speaker said that the Health and Medical Commission of the Parliament has been instructed to examine the necessary solutions to reduce the pressure on the medical staff.

Iran PressIran news: In an open session of Iran's Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that the Parliament would make its best efforts to contain the worrying coronavirus wave.

Offering condolences due to the arrival of Muharram, Ghalibaf stated: "This year, due to the spread of the coronavirus, the wisdom and the Shari'a invite us to comply with the maximum health protocols approved by the National Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus because feeling responsible for major issues is one of the lessons of Ashura."

Iran's Parliament also held a closed session on Tuesday to examine the bill of 'Regulation of Virtual Space'.

Parliament opposes examination of bill on Virtual Space

The Iranian lawmakers opposed the examination of the 'Regulation of Users' Rights in Virtual Space' bill and assigned it to the Joint Commission of the Parliament.

The examination of the 'Regulation of Users' Rights in Virtual Space' bill was canceled with 130 votes in favor of the cancellation, 121 votes against, and 7 abstentions.

Mohammad Hossein Farhangi, a proponent of the decision, said: "To become a law, the bill requires the creation of good domestic messengers, which is time-consuming work; furthermore, the 1.5 million virtual businesses will be harmed in the wake of the adoption of the bill."

Another MP, Rouhollah Abbaspour said: "The Parliament must not miss the opportunity and that the bill should be examined in details."

The Parliament is also to receive the list of President Raisi's suggested cabinet members to review the qualification of the proposed ministers.
