Iran Press/ Iran news: "We won't allow this American conspiracy to be implemented," Ismail Haniyeh said, making a keynote speech at the 32nd International Islamic Unity Conference on Saturday, via a video conference session live from Gaza City.
According to Iran Press, Ismail Haniyeh added the Palestinian nation will never allow Donald Trump's conspiracy, 'the deal of the century', to be implemented. He poignantly added: "Trump has no right to give even an inch of Palestinian territory to the Zionist enemy."
The so-called deal, a backchannel plan to allegedly reach a peace settlement between Israel and the Palestinians, was proposed by the US administration late last year. Although the plan has not been released, leaks signal it will consist of the same tried and failed ideas.
Ismail Haniyeh emphasized that any sort of normalization of relations between Islamic countries and the Israeli regime is 'criminal' and goes against the Palestinian cause.
Haniyeh said any sort of normalization of economic, political, cultural and sporting relations with the enemy - the Israeli regime - should be seen as a crime.
Haniyeh went on to thank Iranian officials, particularly the Leader of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, for organizing this gathering.
The 32nd International Islamic Unity Conference opened in the Iranian capital of Tehran on Saturday morning with high-ranking officials from Muslim countries as well as Shiite and Sunni scholars in attendance.
The theme of the conference is ‘Quds pivot of Islamic unity’ and 350 foreign guests, including 10 ministers and 40 Muftis from Muslim states are taking part in the 32nd Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran. 101/211
