Iran Press/Asia: According to the local police, the explosion occurred on Mirani Road when a convoy of security forces was passing the following route. Thirty-five people including security personnel were injured in the blast, while there are four reported dead.
The incident happened in Turbat district of the province, where a convoy was attacked and a bus in it was struck during the assault, officials told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The source further said that the condition of 10 people injured in the explosion is critical and more casualties are expected. The rescue and security forces teams also reached the scene, shifted the injured to a local hospital and started the investigation.
According to the Center for Research and Security Studies’ Annual Security Report, Balochistan witnessed 782 deaths in 2024, accounting for a significant share of Pakistan’s total 2,546 fatalities due to violence.
