Three people were killed in an explosion at Umar Farooq square, the commercial hub of Balochistan's Khuzdar district.

Iran PressAsia: According to Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Mohammad Arif Zirkun, the bomb was installed on a motorcycle. The Deputy Commissioner said that five people including a woman were also injured in the bomb blast which took place at Umar Farooq Square, a bustling business area of the city, when a large number of people were engaged in Eid shopping.

The police further said that according to the initial investigation, seven to eight kilograms of material was used in the explosion and nearby shops and buildings have been damaged by the explosion.

Somehow no one has yet claimed responsibility for the blast. The injured are transferred to Emergency services, and according to a source, more casualties are expected.

In this regard, Balochistan's Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that targeting innocent people is an inhumane and cowardly act, and the attackers will not be forgiven. "Public and security forces will destroy the terrorists", the Chief Minister added.

It should be noted that many people have been killed in bomb blasts and extremist attacks in different areas of the province in recent days. Most of these incidents have been claimed by the outlawed Baloch militant outfit BLA.
