Iran Press/zahedan: “Increasing business and economic cooperation between Oman and Iran could lead to the development of relations between the two countries,” Oman Ambassador to Iran, Saud bin Ahmad Khalid al-Barwani said.
According to Iran Press, Oman Ambassador to Iran made the remarks in a meeting with the ports and maritime director general of Sistan and Baluchistan province Behrooz Aghaei on Sunday afternoon after visiting Chabahr’s Shahid Beheshti port development plan.
The ambassador further described Chabahar as the best platform for Iran-Oman relations, adding that the port can play an important role in the development of regional trade in the future.
He also attached great importance to the tourism, commercial and economic potential of Chabahar, saying that the Iranian port is an attractive area in the region for investment.
The ports and maritime director general of Sistan and Baluchistan province Behrooz Aghaei, for his part, said that the competitiveness in transit, and economic and business developments of neighboring countries by using the facilities of Chabahar port- one of the biggest oceanic ports of the world - have great influence on the economic progress of blue economy.
On Jan. 25, Iran's Ambassador to Oman Hojjatoleslam Mohammad-Reza Nouri Shahroudi said: "Iranian Embassy in Muscat is ready to extend any kind of support to Iranian private sector in connection with exports to Oman." 101/201
