Jeddah (IP) - The executive committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold an emergency meeting on Wednesday at its headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Iran PressMiddle East: The aforementioned meeting will be held at the level of representatives of the member states to discuss the continuous attacks of the Israeli regime on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the desecration of this holy place.

According to the OIC statement, which is posted on its official website, this meeting will be held at the request of the Palestinian Authority and Jordan.

According to this statement, Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, is scheduled to give a speech at this meeting and exchange views on the dangerous developments that the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the city of Quds are exposed to and the continued aggression of the Israeli regime on the occupied Palestinian territories.

During this week, the Zionist regime, in continuation of its crimes, attacked Al-Aqsa Mosque and the "Balata" camp in the east of Nablus, leaving three Palestinian youths martyred and a number of others were also injured.

In another move and in continuation of the policies of Judaizing Jerusalem and separating it from the Palestinian areas and annexing it to the occupied territories, the Israeli regime's cabinet agreed on Sunday morning with the plan to build Zionist settlements in the occupied Al-Quds.
