Tehran (IP) - Iranian President's Chief of Staff, Mahmoud Vaezi has said to the reporters after the government's weekly meeting that there are countries in the Middle East that do not have the factors of a democratic country at all, but no one cares about them.

Iran PressIran news: "The Third Committee of the United Nations have accused Iran of violating human rights," President's Chief of Staff in an answer to Iran Press' question on that issue noted, adding, "We have repeatedly stated that the committee's actions are base on double standards and politically motivated."

President's chief of staff also said: "There are countries in the Middle East that have no parliament, no freedom, no newspaper, no party; like Saudi Arabia, and nobody cares about them. To me, the world's public opinion has realized that the decisions of the committee are political and no one referred to the committee's decisions."

On the French government's reaction to the unrest in Iran, Vaezi also stated: "Europe, especially the United States, the Zionist regime, and some other countries, thought that the few who had taken part in the streets in the last few days and made casualties, were the whole people and were overjoyed. People like Trump, Pompeo, and the Zionist regime, and others were very hasty, while we have repeatedly said that they don't know the Iranian people. People have shortcomings in life, but if enemies want to exploit internal developments, then what they will see is what happened in Tabriz, the demonstrations of 100,000 people and other popular demonstrations in Zanjan".

On the fuel price hikes also Vaezi said: "Interior minister was obliged to form committees to manage fuel price hikes. The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), was in charge of the Advertising Committee. In my view, IRIB did very well both before and after the price increase."
