Iran Press/ Iran News: Some Iraqi sources have said that Muslim Shahdan was killed near the border between Syria and Iraq on Sunday night.
According to the sources, a drone targeted the Iranian commander’s car near the border.
Speaking during a press conference on Tuesday, Saeed Khatibzadeh condemned the recent assassination of a senior Iranian nuclear and defense industry scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, stating that his name will forever remain in many glorious peaks of Iran.
Khatibzadeh added: "The blood of the martyr is protective and enlightening, and it is our school that blood triumphs over the sword."
Referring to the anniversary of the martyrdom of Ayatollah Modarres, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wished success and pride to the members of Iran's parliament.
Regarding the reactions to the assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, Khatibzadeh stated: "In the martyrdom of Dr. Fakhrizadeh, we received a large number of condemnations from different countries in a variety of geographical areas. In the Persian Gulf, all but one country was condemning the assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. Iran's neighboring countries and allies, even those who were not allies of Iran also condemned the attack. Everyone knows seriously that this condemnation is aimed at blaming the Usurper regime of Israel as the perpetrator of the attack.
"As soon as this happened, we issued a statement, and condemned the attack, and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted an hour after the martyrdom of Fakhrizadeh, blaming Israel for the assassination. In New York, our letter was delivered to the United Nations, and in many capitals, our ambassadors informed the places through a report of the assassination and its dimensions as well as the brutal act of the Zionist regime.
He went on to say: "The Zionist regime was the first suspect in this assassination and now the evidence has been presented. It has been one of the most successful international campaigns that has further isolated the usurper regime of Israel."
Regarding the plan of the parliamentarians to take immediate action to lift the sanctions, he said: "We have no doubt that the parliamentarians seek the rights of the nation. The parliament is the essence of the nation and we have no doubt that it seeks the realization of the rights of the nation. We have expressed our views in this regard, and the government has explicitly stated that it does not agree with the presentation of this plan in this way, and the government has said that this plan is neither necessary nor useful. With the path that has been set, it is not clear that the rights of the nation will be realized.

Khatibzadeh said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its views in various meetings, adding: "Unfortunately, in the recent approval, our views have not been taken into account, and parliament has taken decisions on its own, and we expect the parliament to take these opinions into account."
Regarding the Iraqi parliamentarians' complaint about the Iraqi government's improper cooperation in pursuing the case of the assassination of Martyr Soleimani, Khatibzadeh said: "This issue is a priority for the Islamic Republic and has been repeatedly told to the Iraqi government and it has a definite responsibility for this. Gen Soleimani was a guest of the Iraqi government and traveled at their invitation, and the main responsibility lies with the Iraqi government. We are pursuing this issue at various levels."
The Foreign Ministry spokesman said: "Martyr Fakhrizadeh was named in the reports of the MKO terrorist group in the mid-2000, and then in the reports given by the United States and Israel to the IAEA, and then his name was included in the sanctions list. Linking something to a completely irrelevant topic is one of the things FM Zarif said on Instagram. A crime was committed by an ominous triangle that had commanders and perpetrators, and instead of focusing on their wish not being fulfilled, and on the contrary, the wish of Martyr Fakhrizadeh to be fulfilled, and Martyr Fakhrizadeh was among the those who help the JCPOA behind the scenes. Unfortunately, some allegations are made that it is not clear where it's related to, and some direct Israeli sources are quoted, while the regime has a serious responsibility for this assassination.
Khatibzadeh also said: "In cooperation with the Agency, we have not given and will not give any more access and our relations with the Agency have been technical and some irresponsibility has been pointed out to the Agency and we hope the approach of the Agency will remain Technical."
