Iran Press/ Iran News: Referring to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) Joint Commission meeting held in Vienna, Rouhani stated: "Whenever we feel that the other side is ready to implement the law and regulations, we will not delay for a moment to lift the sanctions, and we will do so immediately."
Rouhani added: "I thank the Foreign Ministry and other agencies that made efforts with the Foreign Ministry in Vienna these days to break the sanctions."
The Iranian president went on to say that the embargo is great oppression on the great nation of Iran, adding: "We will not wait for a moment until we see the other side is ready to implement the law and regulations."

Iran remained fully compliant with the deal for an entire year, but as the remaining European parties failed to fulfill their end of the bargain, Tehran began in May 2019 to scale back its JCPOA commitments in several steps Articles 26 and 36 of the accord covering Tehran’s legal rights.
Tehran has announced that to reverse its remedial actions to reduce the JCPOA commitments; the US must first remove all unilateral sanctions it has illegally re-imposed on the country, and then Iran must verify that sanctions have been actually removed and do not bar Iran’s economic exchanges with the world. Only then, Iran says, it will return to full compliance with the JCPOA.
