Iran Press/ Iran News: The inauguration ceremony of the 11th round of Iran's Parliament was attended by President Hassan Rouhani, Former Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, head of the Judiciary Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, along with other senior officials of the country.
The main difference between this parliament's inauguration with previous ones is observing health protocols due to the coronavirus epidemic which has limited the number of guests.
Clarifying the plan, initially a report of the session will be given, secondly the Interior Minister Abdoreza Rahmani Fazli gives his report, and then President Rouhani delivers his speech.
The executive committee of the parliament is formed based on age in which the oldest member, Seyyed Reza Taqavi chairs the session.
Today, after the formation of the interim presiding board, the message of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was read. Then the Deputy Executive of the parliament Golam-Reza Nouri delivered his report and the Interior Minister presented a report on the 11th parliamentary election, followed by the President's speech.
After the ceremony, the elected representatives renew their allegiance to the late founder of the Islamic Republic by attending the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, which is exceptionally canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The permanent presiding board will be elected in the session after the opening of the 11th parliament, which will be convened on Thursday, May 28, or Sunday, May 31, according to the opinion and decision of the board of the interim presiding board.

The 11th round of Iran's parliamentary elections was held on Friday, Feb 21, 2020, in 208 poll stations throughout Iran. 24,512,404 people participated in this election.
