Tehran (IP)- Within the week ending on the 16th of July, 2021, the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) witnessed a trade of 894,604 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than 341 million USD.

Iran PressIran News: According to a report by the IME's international affairs and PR, the IME sold on its metals and minerals trading floor more than 490,000 tonnes of commodities worth more than 158 million USD.

On this floor, the exchange traded 153,446 tonnes of steel, 1,820 tonnes of copper, 3,010 tonnes of aluminum, 120 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 220 tonnes of zinc ingots, 268,890 tonnes of cement, 400 tonnes of coke, 35,500 tonnes of iron ore, 8 kg of gold bars, 10,000 tonnes of cast iron and 20,000 tonnes of sponge iron.

Furthermore, the IME saw the trade of 397,728 tonnes of commodities on both the domestic and export pit of its oil and petrochemical trading floor valued at almost 181 million USD.

The IME's customers purchased on this floor 3,075 tonnes of bitumen, 66,481 tonnes of polymeric products, 30,508 tonnes of chemicals, 27,000 tonnes of lube cut, 4,426 tonnes of base oil, 120 tonnes of argon, 1,000 tonnes of slops wax, 615 tonnes of sulfur and 370 tonnes of insulation.

Also, the exchange played host to trading 7,970 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
