Nasrallah urges commemorating Imam Hussein's Ashura

Middle East (IP) - The Secretary-General of Hezbollah in Lebanon stressed the need to hold the Ashura mourning ceremonies and preserve its rituals and traditions by observing hygienic protocols.

Iran PressMiddle East: On Ashura Eve, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah thanked and appreciated the participants in the Muharram gatherings who followed the hygienic instructions related to the fight against the coronavirus.

He said: "We thank God that provided us with the success of holding the Ashura ceremonies and gatherings."

Hezbollah's secretary-general noted that Hezbollah and the Amal movement agreed this year not to hold a march in Lebanon on Ashura day, as in previous years, due to health risks conditions

"We learn to be messengers (conveying the message) in Husseini assemblies," he said, emphasizing: "Our duty is to serve God's servants and preserve their honor and dignity."

Nasrallah said: "The lesson of the Karbala event is that one should not be indifferent to helping the right and fighting against the wrong, and this is a lesson that the Islamic resistance has learned."
