Iran Press/ Asia: Muslim countries should unite to protect themselves against external threats, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said on Tuesday (Jan 7) after describing the US killing of Iranian military commander Lieutenant-General Qasem Soleimani as immoral.
Mahathir Mohamad warned that the U.S. strike outside Baghdad’s airport could lead to escalating terrorism. In this regard, he called on Muslim nations to unite over the assassination of the Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani.
The world's oldest premier, who has in recent months stoked diplomatic tensions by speaking out on issues concerning the Muslim world, also said the US drone terrorist attack on Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was against international laws.
Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was assassinated along with several senior members of Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) on Friday Morning 3 January at Baghdad International airport. 104/219
