Iran Press/Iran news: Talking on the sideline of an international festival on Iranian poetess, 'Parvin E'tesami' in Tabriz, northwest of Iran, the Head of Persian Language and Literature Department at Konya University of Turkey Ali Tamizel said the peoples of Iran and Turkey have begun to translate each other's great literary works thanks to the cultural ties between the two nations.
He added this shows the importance of literary figures of both Turkey and Iran.
Tamizel noted that the works of great Iranian literary figures, writers and poets have been translated into Turkish, and Turkish scholars and professors are doing research on them.
The International Festival of Parvin Etesami was held Saturday in Tabriz, the capital of East Azerbaijan province, northwest of Iran.
Persian language professors from Iran, Turkey, Tajikistan, Republic of Azerbaijan, and Bangladesh participated in the festival. 208/211/203
