Iran Press/ Iran news: Abolfazl Kamali, Deputy Minister of Education of Iran, said: "527 thousand foreign students study in Iran, most of whom are Afghans and some from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iraq, and other countries."
Kamali said that foreign nationals can study in ordinary Iranian schools alongside Iranian students, adding that 22 special schools for foreign students have been set up, which they can enter.
Kamali pointed out: "Some Afghan students may have entered the country illegally, and yet, there is no deprivation of education for them in Iran."
The Iranian leader stressed that no Afghan child, even immigrants who are in Iran illegally, should be deprived of education and that all of them should be able to enroll in Iranian schools.
After the speech of the Supreme Leader of Iran in 2015, programs were implemented to identify, organize and enroll these people in Iranian schools.
