Mohammad-Hossein Mokhtari, head of Iran’s University of Islamic Sects

Tehran (IP) - The spirituality of human societies at the time of the coronavirus outbreak and their backlash of the slogans of those in power in developed countries show the breaking of the bones of modernism in the post-coronavirus world, the head of Iran’s University of Islamic Sects said.

Iran Press/Iran news: Mohammad-Hossein Mokhtari wrote in a note on Sunday that more than anything that attracts people’s attention in the world amid the coronavirus outbreak and the death of people is the attraction of the people to spirituality.

He noted that the post-modernism situation also is not better than the modernism era and asserted that the structure of modernity is based on a nihilistic spirituality. It promotes individualism and laxity and suppresses morals and meaning.

He referred to the spiritual regression of the Western societies and said the social capital of modern societies in the post-coronavirus world has faced serious challenges, and the use of soft power in modern societies has come to a stalemate.

Mokhtari noted the great event promises great civilization changes in the post-coronavirus world, through which the Eastern and Muslim societies can get rid of modernism’s dominance and envision a new human civilization with a family-based approach.
