Iran Press/ Iran News: On the occasion of Army Day in Iran, 200 drones were delivered in a ceremony to the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Apr.16, 2023.
Attending the ceremony Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani said since the last few years, Iranian scientists have been working in the field of the defense industry, including UAVs, both in research and production fields.
General Ashtiani said the result of these endeavors has been the construction of various types of drones with different missions, among other achievements.
He pointed out: In the way of effective defense and deterrence for confrontation with the enemy, various measures have been taken, an example of which is the delivery of drones.
Delivery of these drones to the armed forces will continue."He noted: Considering the priority of this type of equipment, the Ministry of Defense supported the armed forces and now, considering the variety of missions that these drones have, the combat power of our armed forces has increased significantly ."
The Iranian Defense Minister said that while supporting the armed forces, the Defence Ministry will cooperate with other national sectors, especially knowledge-based companies, and universities, to bring about a great transformation in the military and civilian sectors of the country.
