News sources, on Monday evening, reported missile attacks on the base of American occupation forces in eastern Syria.

Iran Press/ West Asia: The illegal base of the American occupation forces in the Koniko gas field, located in eastern Syria, has been the target of a missile attack at least twice in recent hours.

The Islamic Resistance of Iraq, in a statement, took responsibility for these attacks, stating that it had fired several missiles at this base.

As the Zionist regime's war against Gaza erupted, and with the non-stop bombing of the residential, educational and medical facilities in Gaza by the Tel Aviv regime, each of the Islamic resistance groups in the region has assumed a duty to support the oppressed people of Gaza.

Also, on Friday 19 January, Resistance forces of Iraq conducted UAV strikes on a US military facility near the northeastern Syrian city of Qamishli, along the Turkish border.

Resistance groups based in Iraq have repeatedly targeted US bases on Iraqi and Syrian territories with missiles and UAVs over the past weeks in retaliation for the Zionists' crimes against the people of Palestine in Gaza; they are outraged at the US military presence in the region as they see the US as a source of instability besides Washington’s support for the Zionist regime in its ongoing war on Gaza.
