Turkish Muslims are celebrating the birth of the Savior of mankind, Aba Saleh al-Mahdi, Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance) in Mid-Sha'ban celebrations in Istanbul.

One of the most important religious occasions among Shia Muslims is the 15th of the eighth Islamic month of Sha'ban which is the birthday of twelfth Imam of Shia Muslims, Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance). The occasion of Mid-Sha'ban is marked by devotion and celebration among Muslims, especially the Shia.

Muslim come to Istanbul to show their desire for peace and prosperity, they say prayers for re-emergence of the Imam from (major) occultation.

These people come together every year for this birthday anniversary and beseech God to hasten the advent of the Imam of the Age.

Great and glorious celebration of the followers of the Ahl ul-Bayt (peace be upon them)  in Halkali-Istanbul, is full of prayers for hastening the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance). 

The speeches talk about the Philosophy of reappearance and says there is Justice in human nature and almighty God in response to this nature, has promised the reappearance of the Saviour.

One of the participants said:  "We came here to show our love for the Imam, and we are waiting for him to bring justice to the world and end tyranny and inequality".
