Complete lifting of all relevant sanctions, including those on Iran and third parties, is the key to the success of the current negotiations to revive JCPOA, said Chinese envoy to the United Nations and other international organisations in Vienna, after attending the latest meeting of the JCPOA Joint Commission on Tuesday.

Iran Press/Europe:  The meeting was chaired by Enrique Mora, the deputy secretary-general and political director of the European External Action Service (EEAS) and attended by representatives of China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom and Iran, Xinhua reported.

Wang Qun said that the negotiations in recent days have been "beneficial" and that the current negotiations have entered a new stage.

He said China welcomes the Joint Commission's intensive talks through the two processes -- the nuclear implementation and sanctions-lifting working groups' work, and the "proximity talks" with the United States -- to draft texts of an arrangement U.S. and Iran to resume compliance with the deal.

Wang said that all parties now have a clearer understanding of the framework and main elements of the aforementioned arrangement. These efforts laid a solid foundation for the next stage of negotiations of the Joint Commission, he noted.

Wang said that China firmly supports the resumption of JCPOA implementation by the U.S. and Iran "as soon as possible," and that China is ready to work for hand in hand with relevant parties to promote the talks on substantive texts, to achieve results acceptable to all parties at an early date.

The meeting of the Joint Commission, which started this evening to review the results of the talks and consultations of the working groups in the two areas of lifting sanctions and the nuclear issue at Grand Hotel, ended yesterday.

In talks with the 4 + 1 group in Vienna to revive JCPOA, Iran is signed in 2015 between Iran and five members of the UN security council, plus Germany.

After the United States' withdrawal from this agreement during Donald Trump's presidency, Iran also reduced its obligations. Now, countries are in talks to bring the United States back to the agreement and revive the deal.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that the US must remove 1,500 sanctions to return to the JCPOA, the 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, told the Iranian state broadcaster on Saturday.
