Middle East(IP)- The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity of Libya once again emphasized his country's position of opposing the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime in any form.

Iran PressAfrica:  Israeli media reported on Sunday (August 27) the secret meeting between Tel Aviv Foreign Minister Eli Cohen and El Mangoush in Rome, Italy, which was held in the first step in a bid to discuss relations between the Zionist regime and Libya.

After the revelation of this meeting by the Zionist media, many protests took place in Libyan cities in protest against this meeting, and the demonstrators burned the Israeli flag and blocked the roads of several Libyan cities.

According to Iran Press citing Al Jazeera news channel Abdul Hamid al-Dbeibeh, the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity of Libya, stated: "We are responsible for the identity and principles of the Libyan nation, and stated that the full responsibility of the cabinet is with me. Regardless of the mistakes that were made. We declare our full support for the Palestinian nation and the just issue of this country."

On Monday of this week, al-Dbeibeh issued a decision to officially dismiss Libyan Foreign Minister Najla El Mangoush and to refer her status to an investigation regarding this meeting. According to media reports, the sacked foreign minister first went to Turkey and from there to London.

On Sunday night, in response to the meeting of the foreign minister of this country with the foreign minister of the Zionist regime, Libyan groups, personalities, and people once again declared their opposition to any relations with this regime and the Libyan demonstrators also set fire the flag of the Zionist regime.
