Iran Press/ Iran news: In a meeting with Ayub Hamid, Special Envoy of Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, said: "We know our Islamic and human duty to stand by the Lebanese nation and government in supporting the axis of Resistance and fighting the enemies of Islam."
The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament added: "Although the enemies of Lebanon intend to inflict deadly economic, security, and political blows on Lebanon, the conspiracies and pressures of the United States and the Zionist regime against Lebanon have failed by the tactics of Lebanese political groups."
Ghalibaf blamed economic sanctions and the crisis imposed on Lebanon on the people's problems and said: "Today, the United States, some western countries, and the Zionist regime have used Lebanon's structural, economic problems and differences of opinion as a tool to intensify pressure on the people."
Referring to the 33-day war, the speaker of the Iranian parliament said: "Lebanon has shown that it stands firmly against the Zionist regime."
The Special Envoy of the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament also thanked the Iranian officials for inviting them to attend the inauguration ceremony of the President of Iran and said: "The election of Ebrahim Raisi is important both for Lebanon and for the Islamic world."
