Iran Press/ Iran News: Iran's Constitution grants the Supreme Leader the right to pardon or commute the sentences of convicts upon a recommendation from the Judiciary chief.
Iran's Judiciary Chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei wrote a letter to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, proposing pardon or commutation of the sentences of 3,388 convicts on the occasion of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
