In the name of God
Major General Mousavi, Chief Commander of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran
The painful incident for the Konarak ship, which led to the mass martyrdom of the Navy forces, is very bitter and unfortunate for me. Although the hardworking staff who have lost their lives during a difficult and honorable service are rewarded by God the All-Mighty, the grief of losing loved ones for their families and the loss of hard-working young people are considered as the heavy pain for Iran's Naval Force.
I offer my condolences to those bereaved families and ask God for their patience and healing, and I ask the relevant authorities to clarify the dimensions of this incident, identify the possible culprits, and take the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such damaging and bitter incidents.
