Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking in a virtual ceremony on the Quran on Wednesday, on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed that negotiations should not be erosive and that delaying negotiations is detrimental to the country.
He pointed out: "The Qur'an does not withdraw itself from political and social challenges in any way and does not avoid confronting the tyrants, arrogance and oppressors, and stands against them. It is the Quran."
He emphasized: "We can use Qur'anic guidance when there is piety, and when there is piety, guidance will be at our disposal in the true sense of the word."
The Leader of the Revolution stated that Qur'an's guidance was not limited to a special area of human life, but it was related to all the vast spheres of human life, and it was not the case that it guided man in one part and neglected man in another part of human life.
He said that all areas of life in the Qur'an have lessons and guidance, and the Qur'an oversaw all parts of human life and had guidance for each of them. How ignorant are those who think that the Qur'an had nothing to do with life, politics, economics and governance?
"I gave statistics on the country's economic ranking in the first of Farvardin (Iranian year), but a few people reminded me that this statistic is not correct and I told the office and they checked and it turned out that my statistic was not correct and what I said was related to 5 or 6 years ago, so I thanks those who reminded me that it caused for correcting this mistake," added the Leader.
Ayatollah Khamenei in another part of his speech, pointed out that the coronavirus has affected the living conditions in the country, saying: “The coronavirus has made the most beautiful days of the first spring bitter for our nation and the number of dead and the sufferers went up, and these bitter and shocking statistics should wake up all of us, the officials and the people.”
He stated in this regard: "The authorities should do what they have to do decisively and act according to the health experts; The bitterness of any complication is less than the complication of the spread of this disease, because the prevalence of the disease is both disease and unemployment, and the problem of livelihood, and the death of loved ones, and all programs in the country have been affected by this disease. It can be stopped, and this is not possible except by policy-making and planning and implementation and observance of executive rules by individuals.”
