Tehran(IP)- Iran's Minister of Finance said during his weekly presser on Wednesday morning that thanks to the measures taken by Raisi's administration, the unemployment rate has decreased by 4.4 percent compared to the beginning of the administration's term.

Iran PressIran news: In his weekly news conference on Wednesday morning, Iran's Minister of Finance Ehsan Khandouzi said:

"With the measures taken during the last two years, the motivation to enter the labor market and employment increased."

Khandouzi stated: "The decrease in the unemployment rate indicates that the total variables of the labor market are moving in a good direction and this has continued in different seasons."

"8.2 percent of the unemployment rate this spring compared to the previous period shows a great improvement; the unemployment rate has decreased by 4.4 percent compared to the beginning of the 13 administation, and the number of employed people has increased by nearly one million," he added.

Iranian Finance Min: Economic growth reaches positive level

Ehsan Khandouzi told reporters on Wednesday that Iran's economic growth in recent two years shows a 4 percent growth in comparison to the last 80 years.

Khandouzi said: "This means that the priority of the administration's economic team is to achieve economic growth and return to positive growth paths through economic policies and other budget system approvals." 

"Of course, according to what was planned, the country's economic growth was supposed to reach 8 percent, but we have yet to reach desired economic growth," he said and added: "the important thing is the change in direction, where a growth happened from a rate close to zero to a positive level."

The minister called on the administration to engage in both macro and micro-economies and help production in the micro-economy, that is, the market and enterprises, and not just confine itself to macro-policies in this regard.

Khandouzi: Acceleration of reviving stagnant assets

 Ehsan Khandouzi, the Minister of Economy, addressed the speed at which unproductive government properties are being transformed into productive assets during a press conference.

When asked about the progress outlined in the annual budget, Khandouzi stated, "We hope to achieve the majority of our goals set in the 1402 budget bill, which is several times higher than last year's figure, reaching 109 thousand billion tomans by year-end."

The minister further highlighted that "the results achieved in the last four months from reviving stagnant assets were three times higher than those of the same period last year."

He emphasized that with an expected increase in the pace of reviving stagnant assets, they are hopeful to meet their targets by the end of 1402.
