Iran Press/ Iran news: Major General Hossein Salami, on Monday at the commemoration ceremony of Operation Mersad in Kermanshah, western Iran, has stated that the Iranian people will never watch the enemy invade and stand against the enemy united and hand in hand.
The Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps added that the Iranian people deal decisively with the enemy to defend their values, independence, dignity, and pride.
General Salami emphasized that what happened in Operation Mersad was a great lesson for all the enemies of Islam and Iran that the Iranian nation would never allow any enemy to enter its territory.
The Commander has stated that Kermanshah is a land of altruism, sacrifice, and the glory of historical epics, and Kermanshah is a symbol of resistance in Islamic Iran.
The commemoration ceremony of Operation Mersad was held on Monday in the presence of the Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps and veterans of the Holy Defense and various walks of life in Kermanshah at the Cultural Center and Mersad Museum of the Holy Defense.
July 27th is the anniversary of the victory of Operation Mersad, in which the members of the MKO (Mojahedin-e-Khalq) terrorist outfit suffered a heavy defeat, and their conspiracy with the cooperation of the enemies of Iran was failed.
On 27 July 1988, Operation Mersad, which took place in a narrow passageway named Mersad in Kermanshah province, western Iran, was a decisive defeat for the (MKO) terrorist group.
