Iran Press/ Iran news: According to Iran Press news agency on Friday, Nasser Kanani Chafi, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, pointed out that the military and defense relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia are within the framework of the common interests of the two countries and said:" Islamic Iran and Russia preceded the beginning of the military crisis in Ukraine."
Kanaani Chafi pointed out that the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasizes the political solution to the Ukraine crisis and added: The accusations orchestrated by the Western parties against Iran regarding the Ukraine crisis are politically motivated.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran also stated that the relations between Iran and Russia are based on the political will of the leaders of the two countries, and said that the cooperation of the two countries based on the common interests of the two nations in the economic, commercial, industrial, energy and transportation fields and in banking fields and finance is expanding.
In relation to the Syrian crisis, Kanaani Chafi, referring to the severing of relations between some countries, said: With the change of conditions in Syria and the proof of the stability and establishment of the political system in this country, we are witnessing the formation of a gradual process to resume the political relations of these countries with Syria.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran stated: In the political field, the Islamic Republic of Iran encourages the holding of joint meetings between the high officials of Syria and Turkey.
Kanaani Chafi also announced the visit of "Hossein Amir-Abdollahian" the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran to Russia in the near future.
