Iran Press/Europe: JCPOA Joint Commission to be held in Vienna on Wednesday, February 26 with the representatives of member countries including Iran, France, Britain, Germany Russia, and China in attendance.
Earlier, the European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell had announced that the Joint Commission would be held in February 2020.
Referring to the extension of the dispute settlement mechanism on JCPOA, Borrell had reportedly said that due to some complexities of the existing problems, we have reached an agreement on-time extension.
The Islamic Republic of Iran, since May 2019 one year after US withdrawal from JCPOA, has gradually scaled back its commitments toward JCPOA.
However, Iran’s Foreign Minister said on Feb.15 that Tehran is prepared to slow down or reverse the measures it has taken towards JCPOA commensurate based on what Europe does.
"We have said that we are prepared to slow down or reverse these measures commensurate with what Europe does," Mohammad Javad Zarif told the reporters on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference on February 14 while referring to Iran’s steps in reducing nuclear obligations under the Iran Nuclear Deal.
