Iran Press/Middle East: ISIS elements assassinated Brigadier General Ali Hameed Ghaydan, commander of the Iraqi Army's 59th Brigade, in the Ben Sina area of al-Tarmiyah district in northern Baghdad on Friday evening.
A number were reportedly killed and wounded in the attack.
The Iraqi Prime Minister issued the order calling on the security and intelligence forces to take the necessary and immediate measures to identify and arrest the terrorist perpetrators in the incident.
The ISIS terrorist group has been active in the northern, western and eastern parts of the Iraqi capital in the provinces of Salahuddin, Kirkuk, Diyala and al Anbar in recent months, compared to the last two years.
