Iran Press/ Iran News: Fuad Hussein, in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, noted that Baghdad will soon issue a formal statement on the matter.
The two parties discussed, during the call, the situation in the region.
The top diplomat of the Islamic Republic of Iran thanked the Iraqi government for its efforts in starting security negotiations between Tehran and Riyadh.
Amir-Abdollahian stressed that the historical and deep ties between Iran and Germany makes it necessary to replace sensational moves, which are contradictory to mutual interests, with dialogue and cooperation.
In this regard, the two foreign ministers stressed the need for a realistic approach to govern the Tehran-Berlin ties.
