Iran Press/Middle East: In an interview with the INA news agency on Monday, Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji considered the coordination of the four countries important and said that Iraq awaits new mechanisms for cooperating with the international alliance to chase and destroy the remnants of ISIS (Daesh).

The Center for the Quartet of Security Cooperation between Iran, Iraq, Russia, and Syria has been set up in Baghdad since 2015 to exchange information on the fight against terrorism with the military affiliates of Iran, Syria, and Russia. Since then, various meetings have been held to coordinate and exchange information between member states to counter the ISIS terrorist group.
The exchange of information, especially the intelligence feed of Iraqi and Syrian forces in identifying and targeting important and sensitive positions of ISIS and other Takfiri terrorists in Iraq and in some cases in Syria, has been one of the most important and successful functions of the center during its activity term.
