The conference on commemoration Imam Khomeini(RH)'s 29th passing away anniversary, was held in the Holy city of Najaf in Iraq. The event was attended by Islamic Seminary scholars as well as outstanding political figures of the Islamic resistance movement .
One Najaf resident, speaking at the event, said: "Imam Khomeini (RH) was the main supporter of the oppressed and the impoverished, and we as residents of Najaf , would never forget the memories of 14 years of living beside him."
An Islamic scholar addressing the conference said: "Imam Khomeini(RH) could have effective role all across the world and could innovate the brand new pattern in the world so that the peoples of the world could appreciate that Islam is a religion for guiding humanity -- the entire humanity".
Imam Khomeini's commemoration was not only held in Najaf, but in other Iraqi cities too, such as the cities of Basra , holy city of Karbala, and various other cities.
A ceremony commemorating the 29th anniversary of passing away of Imam Khomeini was also held in Baghdad, Iraq's capital.
The ceremony was attended by the Young true believers as well as tribesmen and representatives of the Islamic resistance movement , who believe that the recent Iraqi victories over terrorism were all due to Imam Khomeini's revolutionary teachings and his school of thought.
Another participant at the ceremony said: "Imam Khomeini(RH) was not only the founder of Islamic revolutionary in Iran but also he invited the Islamic Ummah to liberate al-Quds , and we are proud to follow his goals and teachings."
After 29 years the Iraqi people know that they are commemorating the memory of a man who has changed the history of mankind and revived the real version of Islam among the Islamic countries as well as the oppressed nations.
