Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking on the sidelines of the meeting of the government cabinet on Wednesday, Javad Owji said: "With the beginning of the 13th administration, the Ministry of Petroleum used all its capacities and took advantage of the successful energy diplomacy with many countries, especially Latin American ones and has signed contracts to sell oil and to set up offshore refineries.”
Referring to the petroleum ministry's collection of claims from other countries, he added: “This year and last year, we have received all the arrears regarding our claims, especially the claims for gas export to Iraq.”

The Minister of Petroleum emphasized: “Last year we received about €1 billion and this year €1.6 billion, and almost all the demands from Iraq are up to date.”
Regarding the figure for gas exports to Iraq, Owji said: “This year, the volume of gas exports to Iraq has increased compared to the same period last year, and we do not have any outstanding debts with the Iraqi government.”
