Iraq extends travel ban until Ramadhan

Iraqi channel of Al-Iraqiya reported on Wednesday night that the ban on travel to and from Iraq would be extended until the beginning of the holy month of Ramadhan (April 25) to curb the Coronavirus outbreak in the country.

Iran Press/ Middle East: Iraqi authorities have begun the restrictions on March 17 to stop the spread of the Coronavirus and have extended it several times.

According to Iraq's Health Ministry, some 1,415 cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed so far in the Arab country, of which 79 people have died.

New Coronavirus disease, officially named COVID-19, began in December 2019 in Wuhan, China.

The COVID-19 viral disease that has swept into 210 countries and territories around the world, infected more than 2,083,300 and killed 134,616 people, has been officially called a pandemic, according to the World Health Organization announcement on Wednesday, March 11. 207/201
