Iran Press/ Middle East: During the meeting, the Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad welcomed Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and congratulated the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on the successful holding of the Presidential Election in Iran.
The Syrian foreign minister also expressed hope that Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi would succeed in his new position and congratulated his Iranian counterpart on his appointment to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Amir-Abdollahian also congratulated the successful holding of the Presidential Elections in Syria and expressed happiness that the crisis in Syria ended, and the enemies were defeated.
"We have entered a new phase of trade and economic relations between the two countries, and today I am here to emphasize the further development of relations and stress that Syria is at the forefront of the resistance," he added.
