Iran Press/ Iran news: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has always stressed the establishment of security, peace, and tranquility in Afghanistan," said Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf during a meeting with Afghanistan Ambassador to Tehran Abdul Ghafoor Liwal on Monday.
Referring to the effective role of the countries’ parliaments in improving bilateral relations, Ghalibaf stressed the need to develop the comprehensive cooperation document is one of the important issues of Iran and Afghanistan, saying: "Parliamentary relations play a decisive and facilitating role in the process of friendly interaction between the two countries."
Afghanistan Ambassador, for his part, thanked Iran for hosting Afghan refugees.
The Afghanistan ambassador to Iran also referred to the outbreak of the coronavirus and called for more cooperation between the two countries, saying: "Afghanistan will never forget the material and spiritual support of the Iranian nation during and after the war in support of the Afghan constitution." 219
