Manama (IP) - The Iranian national football team held its first training session in the Bahraini capital Manama with the head coach Dragan Skocic.

Iran PressMiddle East: According to Iran Press, this training session was held yesterday evening after the team's negative COVID-19 PCR test results.

According to Iranian national football team's coaching staff, the players appeared cheerful during the training session.

The training session was held at Al Nejmeh stadium, which has relatively good grass quality and light conditions.

The head of the national team's committee, Mehdi Kharati, said: "The Team is staying at the Radisson Hotel in Manama which is 25 minutes away from the training camp of Al Nejmeh Stadium."

"Everything is OK, and the team has a high motivation to win the upcoming games," Kharati added.

To qualify for the next round of the World Cup qualifiers in Qatar, the Iranian national football team needs to win against Hong Kong, Cambodia, Bahrain, and Iraq.

The first match will be held tomorrow evening versus Hong Kong.

The match will take place at the Sheikh Ali Bin Mohammed Stadium at 7 PM.
