Iran Press/ Iran news: In a telephone conversation with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian discussed some issues related to bilateral relations, as well as the latest status of negotiations for the lifting of sanctions against Iran.
Referring to the two countries' great potential for expanding trade and economic cooperation, he stressed the need to protect the long-standing relations between the two sides from the influence of some third-party actors.
During the telephone call, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias stressed the importance of relations between the two countries and the continuation of contacts between senior Iranian and Greek officials.
The two sides also referred to the historical relations between the two countries and stressed the importance of expanding relations between Athens and Tehran and the continuation of cooperation in international forums.
